Creating Interactive Online and
Mobile Resources with HTML5

Douglas Mills, Department of Chemistry, University of Illinois

HTML5 together with CSS3 and JavaScript can be used to create engaging interactive learning activities deliverable to both computers and mobile devices, including Android OS phones, iPads, iPhones and iPod Touches. We have been exploring the potential of these technologies in Chemistry instruction and will share our progress in this poster session as well as hope to learn from the experiences of others.

Examples of where we're at in our use of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript for Chemistry Education. Some are already in use; all are works in progress.

A lightly annotated list of tutorials, examples, tools and references I've found helpful in my exploration of HTML5 and associated technologies.
